JADA was built at Stephens Brothers Shipyard — teak decks, brass fittings, old-growth timber. She was launched into a world that was about to be turned upside down, and she has been sailing ever since. Humphrey Bogart came aboard in Newport Beach. Lauren Bacall. Errol Flynn. John Raitt. She has raced the TransPac five times, lived in Honolulu, and found her way to San Diego, where she has been the most beautiful thing on the bay for years.
